Another one bites the dust

So its on to the next assignment, I'm defiantly excited about this one.
The lecture: Context and Communication
The Assignment: Brand and Range Communication.
So my brand is H&M, my role within our team of 4 is Fashion Buyer and so far I've carried out a comparative shop and found lots of exciting information about my Global Brand.
I'm in the stages of researching for my S/S15 collection (part of my assignment), I've found some great colour, design and print ideas.
Pair your PJs with killer heels for instant chic. Be bold in all over blood orange. A flippy skirt is always a safe choice to combine with your statement sweat.

Tracking a Trend:Denim

So my Tracking a Trend project is finally completed and I have to say I'm pretty pleased with my efforts.
After lots of research in the library (a favourite place of mine), online and in journals, I know all their is to know about DENIM!
From where denim originated (thank you Levis Strauss) to today's modern world of denim. Throughout time there has been so many denim highlights and I've tried to pick these out within this project.

That's it there's the finished piece...enjoy x

Lots of Layout

So my 'tracking a trend' project is coming along nicely, lots of images have been collected and I've started putting together some great words from the research I have found.
Now to look at layout,  I've flicked through a variety of journals, books and mags and found a few that I love. Most of them are neat and tidy and consist of words and images in columns. I'm a sucker for a column and I also think they look professional yet stylish.

Its all about denim...

So one of my first brief's at uni is 'tracking a trend', so after much consideration I chose denim. I love denim! Denim jeans, dresses, shorts and much more. Tracking this trend so far has been an interesting journey finding out about the history of Levi Strauss and Carhartt and how Hollywood stars such as Marlon Brando helped make denim what it is today. I've also been flicking through old magazines and journals finding some great editorial denim pieces and researching the Gucci Spring/Summer 2001 collection by the amazing Tom Ford.
Here's some stuff I've found during my research.
Note: Check out Marlon Brando in Image 4 switswoo!!!
